|
A productive, moderately vigorous tree that is generally larger
than other Asian pear varieties. Usually bears fruit in the second year. Fruit
is good quality and hangs well for 4-6 weeks.
Responds well to thinning. Tree is resistant to pseudomonus
but has only moderate resistance to fire blight and should be sprayed against
coddling moth. Spider mites can be a problem best controlled with frequent
watering and an application of mite spray before harvesting the fruit.
As with all Asian pears, fruit needs to be handled gently and
packed carefully into padded boxes.
