Flesh: White. Fine texture.
Flavour: Sweet. Mild.
Usage: Primarily a dessert pear. Good for drying.
Storage: Up to six months in cold storage
Notes: Due to its red-tinted leaves, this variety grows more slowly than Anjou. It has some resistance to fire blight but needs protection against mildew and pear pyssla, especially with young plants.
