Skin Colour:      Probably the reddest of the Macs with virtually no speckling
Flesh:      White. One of the firmest of the Macs.
Flavour:      Fresh with light tartness
Usage:      Good for fresh eating, applesauce, cider, and juice
Storage:      Four months in cold storage
Notes:      The tree is less vigorous than Marshall's McIntosh but is resistant to late-season drop. Susceptible to apple scab. Good resistance to fire blight.
